TB

I spent a little time in Thailand. About a week to be exact. I was warned of several common problems, TB being included. I was given a certain type of medication that was prescribed to be a preventative. I didn't get TB while i was there, so i guess it worked (or i didn't come in contact with anyone that had it).

I didn't really know there were mutations(i know thats not exactly what they are) of TB. MDRTB doesn't sound like something that could be very pretty. Any infection that is fighting and resistant of its drugs can't be very fun to be around. Monitoring people that are drug resistant or the disease that is drug resistant is a good idea. I mean when you think about 130,000 people dying a year, it is important sometimes to help them not only protect the people around them but the people themselves sometimes.

I believe that helping the Thailand people with their quality of life will not only help them in preventing TB but many other health problems they are dealing with.
